Field Service Manager Wanted!
Our client is seeking a Field Service Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The Field Service Manager must have previous management experience of Field Service Engineers and previous experience in construction or utilities. The Field Service Manager will be responsible for leading a team of engineers to thrive in their performance and ensure jobs are completed on time and up to standard.
Key Responsibilities for the Field Service Manager:
- Lead and manage a team of field engineers to ensure efficient maintenance and repair of HIU's, plant equipment, and commercial gas boilers.
- Provide coaching, identify training needs to enhance technical skills and operational efficiency.
- Ensure all field engineers adhere to health and safety guidelines, including conducting risk assessments and following safe work practices.
- Manage resource levels appropriately and work with Service Delivery manager and Ops Director
- Act as technical point of escalation for complex maintenance issues and provide guidance and support to engineers
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensure that their needs are met and any issues are resolved promptly
- Develop and manage the field service budget
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
Skills Required for the Field Service Manager:
- Proven management experience in the construction and/or utilities industry
- Proven Field Service Engineer experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Good people skills
- Ideally, worked with HIU, Metering or District Heating (advantage)
- Must be able to drive
