Location: Ealing based - With requirement to work from any of EACH's locations and across the organisation
Salary: £38,220-£45,864 per annum, DOE + Benefits!
Contract: Full-time, permanent

EACH Counselling and Support is a leading charity based in NW London providing a range of specialist services to individuals and families affected by mental health, domestic violence and alcohol and substance misuse issues. We are looking to expand our Senior Management Team so that we can build
upon our work to make a difference to people's lives to help them recover from the impact of mental health, trauma and domestic abuse.

Services Manager - The Role

You will be working as part of our Senior Management Team, you will have a counselling qualification and background to provide contract and staff management to a range of services.

You will Lead and co-ordinate specific contracts and services depending upon needs of the business, ensuring high standard of service delivery and oversee performance of contracts and grants, including review and corrective actions. You will also be providing management, supervision and support to diverse teams (including staff, facilitators, volunteers/trainees).

The role requires you to ensure that our work is delivered to meet high standards and expected Key Performance Indicators.

Key Responsibilities;

To participate as a member of the Senior Management Team being available for staff as required
To develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues within EACH and partnerships
To promote EACH and contribute to EACH's social media and online presence
To adhere to EACH's health & safety policy, confidentiality policy and other policies and procedures relating to different aspects of EACH's work
To work at all time to promote EACH's ethos and to challenge discriminatory practices and behaviour
To maintain high standards of professional integrity and respect for others in all dealings with service users, colleagues, other professionals and members of the public
To act in accordance with EACH's policies, procedures, guidelines and relevant codes of practice
To avoid any action or behaviour which may conflict in any way with the work and services provided by EACH and which may bring EACH into disrepute or sabotage its business
To develop and maintain the range of skills appropriate to the post and to keep up-to date with research, publications and issues in the field
To ensure continuous self-development, through training, supervision and other appropriate means such as meetings conferences etc.
To be responsible for the effective day to day management and delivery of EACH's services across our footprint
Provide direction and support to Services to meet local needs and service performance
Undertake line management of designated staff
Ensure service and client work standards are monitored and upheld
Identify, monitor and respond to issues and risks that may arise within the services, including through effective management of Safeguarding
Contribute to an effective system of recruitment, induction, training and professional development of staff and volunteers
Ensure data and monitoring systems are implemented and interpret information and data to generate and provide reports
Ensure delivery and reporting requirements are met and attend meetings with funders, commissioners and partners as and when required

Services Manager - What we need from you

Experience & Qualifications

Counselling qualification and Registered with BACP/UKCP/NCPS or another recognised professional counselling body
Evidence of Continuous professional development, learning and training relevant to this post
Accreditation with a professional counselling body
Line management and/or supervision experience within the health and social care or voluntary sector
Proven experience of managing and delivering contracted services, including setting up new work
Experience of providing structured counselling/psychotherapy within a recognised framework in a relevant field (substance misuse, domestic abuse, trauma, mental health) to people from diverse and BAME backgrounds
Knowledge and experience of dealing with risks and safeguarding issues and appropriate responses

Skills & Knowledge;

Understanding of recovery models and/or trauma-informed practice
Ability to utilise counselling background to inform EACH's work and service development
Understanding of best practice and ability to apply it within counselling/therapeutic and client-facing services
Ability to provide management support and supervision to staff and volunteers//trainees to meet service requirements
Ability to manage change, performance, problem solve and apply solution focussed approaches
Knowledge of barriers experienced by people from marginalised and disadvantaged communities and ability to develop service responses to them
Ability to identify service gaps and undertake performance and service improvements and developments to meet them
Good project and time management skills and a proven ability to manage conflicting deadlines and deliver on them
Ability to provide counselling and therapeutic interventions, e.g. assessments, one-to-ones*
Admin and IT proficient with proven ability to record, utilise and act on information and provide analysis and management reports
Ability to communicate effectively, confidentially and with sensitivity both orally and in writing
Ability to develop and implement organisational policies, processes and procedures as and when required
