THE BUYER

Reporting to the Head of procurement and category leader within an international team, the buyer will work on local and global purchasing projects. The position is dedicated to support the UK business units to manage day to day activities at country level and contribute to procurement functional projects. Key aspects of the role will include:

  • Support and drive procurement standardization process.
  • Develop & manages key supplier relationships to serve the local site in the most efficient manner.
  • Manage and resolve any complaints related to materials, sourcing, suppliers, etc.
  • Provide Procurement support to the NPD Team and arrange the regular meeting with supplier for innovation and market trends.
  • Identify potential sources, gathers competitive quotes, and recommends suppliers.
  • Support the opportunities for cost efficiencies and improvements within the purchasing process.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Experience in Purchasing/Procurement/Buying role within a relevant sector i.e. Food Manufacturing or FMCG
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Data management (including advanced level in Excel)
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication.
  • Up to speed with purchasing best practices.
  • Familiarity with market research, data analysis and forecasting techniques
