Our Client is seeking a Roofers Mate on an initial 3-month contract with the possibility of an extension.
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: 15.00 Per Hour PAYE
Location: W8 6PW
Working Hours: 37 Hours Per Week, 07:30 - 16:00
Job Overview:
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Roofer's Mate to assist roofers in installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs. This is a hands-on role that requires physical strength, attention to detail, and a willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. No prior experience is necessary, but a keen interest in roofing and construction is beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist roofers with lifting, carrying, and positioning roofing materials.
- Prepare work areas by setting up ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment.
- Remove old or damaged roofing materials.
- Mix and apply adhesives, sealants, and other materials as directed.
- Cut and shape roofing materials to fit specific areas.
- Keep the worksite clean and organized, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
- Follow health and safety regulations, using PPE and safety harnesses when required.
- Support the team with general laboring duties as needed.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in construction or roofing (preferred but not essential).
- Physically fit and comfortable working at heights.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and take instructions.
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Awareness of health and safety procedures.
- A valid CSCS card (preferred but not essential).
- A driving license (desirable but not required).
