Job Description:

Are you an experienced childcare professional looking to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join our client's large and vibrant nursery, which accommodates up to 120 children daily. This role offers a competitive salary of 30,000 - 35,000 per annum, depending on experience and performance during the interview and trial process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the over 2s age group, ensuring high standards of care and education.
  • Work closely with the management team and a fellow Deputy Manager who leads the under 2s.
  • Take on a flexible role that includes opening, closing, or a mix of shifts across 5 days or 4 long days with one day off, depending on the nursery's needs.
  • Oversee safeguarding as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) with robust knowledge of EYFS.
  • Be office-based but also take a hands-on approach to manage your designated age group.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement and success of the nursery, with potential for future managerial responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of Level 3 Qualification in Childcare
  • Previous experience as a Deputy Manager in a nursery setting.
  • Strong safeguarding experience, with a thorough understanding of DSL responsibilities.
  • Solid knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • SENCO experience is highly desirable.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality care and education.
