Retail Deputy Manager

£40 - £50,000 + Bonus & Full Package

North London

You have potential. You know it but are starting to think your current employer doesn’t. And that can be frustrating. You’ve got the ideas, the people skills and the commercial experience to manage your business and know you could do more with it if you had the room. You’ll get that here.

The Job

OK, so you’d be coming in as the Deputy Manager but don’t let the title fool you. From day one you’ll be expected to contribute to the running of this very successful site and will work so closely alongside the GM as makes no difference. Right away you’ll be part of a team that has the scope to make meaningful contributions to the way the business trades, having input on product mix, layout and visual merchandising as well as visibility of and full responsibility for profit and loss. You’ll be the stores first point of contact for everything day-to-day, from working with junior managers to plan their business to recruiting, training and supporting the store team. You’ll get support yourself of course, together with the ongoing training needed to go further. You’ll be doing bigger things the minute you’re ready.

The Person

So, you’ll have a bit of retail experience already, ideally in a quality, service-driven business and, if you understand a bit about seasonal non-food products, even better. But, to be honest, its what you could do in the future given the chance that matters more.

The Company

Really well established and with the finances to prove it, this business is a household name in the North London area and has built a reputation over many years for being one of the go-to sites for customers
