Our client school offers fully funded training for this role and is easily accessible by public transport.

About the Role

This role involves working in the HI Provision with up to 11 pupils across KS2. Located within a three-form entry OFSTED rated Outstanding Primary School, you will teach students with moderate to profound deafness both in the unit and the mainstream classes. The school is willing to fund the TOD qualification, and ideally, all staff will hold a minimum of Level 2 British Sign Language.

Aspiring or qualified Teacher of the Deaf

Minimum of Level 2 British Sign Language qualification

Postgraduate level teaching qualification

Willing to work towards a mandatory qualification for Deaf Education

Proficient in a total communication approach, using a wide range of strategies

Strong curriculum knowledge, including Literacy, Numeracy, and Science

Dedicated to supporting Hearing Impaired students in a mainstream school environment
