One of our lovely Newham-based Primary schools are looking to draft an Autism Support Assistant to play a key role in the academic development and in-school engagement of one of their students - sound good...?
 

As an Autism Support Assistant, you will:

***Develop and prepare materials designed to inspire individual learning

***Keep written records of pupil observations, and feed back to parents

***Carrying out general TA responsibilities in class where required

***Work under supervision of the school SENCo and various Class Teachers

***Provide effective support to this student, helping to build social confidence and academic engagement!


This Autism Support Assistant role will include extensive in house and external training, designed to further develop your skill-set, and there will be support and supervision from the school SENCo. The pupil in question is a female student in Year 4, and she is making steady progress, but is limited on her engagement with other students and can act erratically. As an Autism Support Assistant, help her break down learning and manage her triggers to help her progress at a faster rate.
