Autism Support Assistant – Islington

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with autism? We're looking for a caring and dedicated Autism Support Assistant to join the team at a vibrant school in Islington!

Position: Autism Support Assistant 
Location: Islington, North London 
Start Date: Immediate to July 2025
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Autism Support Assistant | What You’ll Do:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with autism, helping them thrive in a school environment 
- Assist in implementing individual learning plans (IEPs) and sensory strategies 
- Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to create a positive, inclusive atmosphere 
- Foster social and communication skills through structured activities and play 
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents

Autism Support Assistant | What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs (SEN) 
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach 
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships 
- A passion for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment 
- A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
