Salary Range: £85 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)

Are you passionate about supporting young people with mental health needs? GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Wandsworth. This is a full-time role, providing a rewarding opportunity to help students re-engage with their education in a supportive environment.
Behaviour Support Assistant Responsibilities:
- Support students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs in a PRU setting.
- Build strong, trusting relationships to encourage positive engagement in learning.
- Assist in behaviour management and implement personalised support strategies.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to provide a safe and inclusive environment.
- Help students develop coping strategies and resilience in their learning journey.
Behaviour Support Assistant Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with SEMH or behavioural needs (school or care setting preferred).
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours in a professional manner.
- A commitment to making a positive impact on young people’s education and well-being.
- Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
