Care First Recruitment Ltd are currently recruiting for Care and Support Workers on a temporary basis in varies london areas

Locations include:

  • Camden 
  • Enfield 
  • Hackney 

Role Purpose: To deliver excellent customer centred care and support, taking a person centred and positive risk taking approach to enable customers to maintain and improve their independence, effectively manage and improve their personal safety and improve their social, emotional and mental wellbeing

Responsibilities:

  • Working in partnership with the service team to deliver the best care to service users according to their care plans.
  • Developing positive and enabling relationships with service users to support their emotional, physical and mental wellbeing
  • Promoting service users equality, diversity and rights
  • Reporting any safeguarding concerns to a senior staff member
  • Responding to emergent risks and referring customers to external agencies
  • Support service users with when making or/ renew claims for welfare or housing benefits to which they are entitled
  • Work at all times within the professional boundaries
  • Provide high quality housing related support services

You will need to have a flexible attitude and be willing to undertake any tasks your service user, manager or other senior managers reasonably ask of you

  • Provide practical support to customers to maintain their current tenancy
  • Assist and enable customers with all activities of daily living; maintaining personal hygiene and appearance as detailed in the customer’s Care Plan
  • Address the social and emotional needs
  • Deliver work to a consistently high standard at all times
  • Produce timely and accurate reports
  • Ensure that the support needs of customers are addressed and met          

Essentials

  • Experience of providing services to customers with similar care and/or support needs in a social housing or social care environment
  • Experience of working within a team
  • Experience of using own initiative to solve problems
  • Good IT skills
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good level of numeracy
  • NVQ qualified or working towards a relevant, appropriate qualification

You are required to have a minimum of 18 months experience

You will need to pass a background checks by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
