CARE MANAGER EAST BARNET, LONDON

Our client, a London franchise of a fast growing national group, is seeking a full-time Care Manager to join their team in East Barnet, London as soon as possible.

Based at the East Barnet office and covering the surrounding areas, the Care Manager will be responsible for supporting the Registered Manager and overseeing the Care Co-ordinator, providing strong management and leadership to staff while maintaining high CQC standards at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To ensure client safety and commitment to safeguarding of vulnerable adults
  • Assisting to do DBS and Right To Work checks and regulatory compliance for all staff
  • Ensuring the care levels provided meet the clients expectations and needs and liasing with clients continuously
  • Ensuring all training is monitored in line with regulations
  • Assisting the Registered Manager with staff appraisals, regular supervisory meetings and spot checks
  • Maintaining accurate records and files of care workers and Clients
  • Taking part in the On Call register on a regular basis
  • Recruitment and onboarding of staff
  • Assisting the Registered Manager with CQC preparation and inspections are performed to the best standards
  • Ensuring all emergency on-call issues are dealt with, such as covering calls directly in extreme circumstances or securing and allocating new staff when carers are absent or ill

Experience and Skills required :

  • At least 3 years of experience working as a Manager in a Domiciliary Care environment
  • Compassionate and caring with a supportive and empathetic nature
  • Professional with excellent time management and reliability skills and also the ability to be flexible with work schedule
  • Experience in risk assessments for care services and individual care and support and knowledge of confidentiality, health and safety and abuse matters and safeguarding procedures
  • Excellent administrative and computer literacy skills as well as strategy and implementation skills
  • Experience in staff management - recruiting, training, supporting and supervising
  • Previously have maintained clear and accurate records and followed statutory reporting and knowledge of CQC Regulations
  • Good understanding of regulatory responsibilities of a care service
  • NVQ 4 or 5 in Social Care

A satisfactory DBS check, full UK driving licence and own vehicle as well as the above necessary qualifications will secure this role.
