Job Title: Family Support Practitioner
Location: East London
Contract Details: Temporary, Full Time
Salary: £23.48 to £27.50 per hour
About Our Client:
Our client is a London Borough Council and has a vacancy in the social care and health division that provides Early Help and Children & Families services. They are committed to supporting families and improving outcomes for children and young people. As a Family Support Practitioner, you will work alongside a dedicated team to deliver family-led interventions and provide early help support to families in need.

Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess the needs of families, working closely with them to safeguard the welfare of children and young people
- Develop and deliver targeted, level 2 Early Help intervention plans to improve social, emotional, health, and educational outcomes for children and young people
- Build effective relationships with key partners, including early year providers, schools, and parents, to ensure timely and appropriate support is provided
- Manage a caseload of children and young people, incorporating whole family work and Restorative Practise
- Act as the lead professional, coordinating the involvement of different professionals to provide comprehensive support for families
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
- Professional qualification in a child/youth or family-related discipline (minimum level 4) or a relevant degree
- Extensive experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and their families in a multi-agency environment
- Knowledge of statutory frameworks and regulations related to Children's Services, including early help and safeguarding
- Good understanding of working with children, young people, and families, including Restorative Practise
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
- Experience of working effectively with professionals to safeguard children, young people, and families
- Experience of undertaking assessments and using relevant assessment tools
- First Aid qualification or willingness to undertake training
- Ability to use IT packages such as Word and Excel
Technologies:
- Proficient in using IT packages such as Word and Excel
