Role: Employment and Skills Support Worker (TST Team)Assignment: Until end of March 2025 (potential extension)Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00Pay: £15.83 + holiday pay = £17.74 per hour or (PAYE) or £20.40 umbrellaLocation: CamberwellWe are seeking a dedicated Employment and Skills Support Worker to join the TST Team, working closely with tenancy support professionals to assist service users in enhancing their employment prospects. While most service users are already in work, this role focuses on helping them achieve an improved standard of employment through skills development and career progression.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored employment support, including CV writing and job application assistance.
- Deliver workshops focused on employment skills and career development.
- Build and maintain partnerships with training providers, potential employers, job centres, and employment support services.
- Work collaboratively with the TST worker to support service users holistically.
- Maintain accurate records and case notes, compiling data for monitoring and reporting purposes.
Candidate Requirements:
- Strong casework experience and the ability to build professional relationships.
- Experience in supporting individuals with employment and skills development (specialist knowledge not required).
- Excellent communication and networking skills to engage with external partners.
- Ability to work with a diverse client base, including those with English as a second language.
- Organised and able to track progress effectively for reporting purposes.
About the Service Users:The role supports individuals who were previously homeless and are currently residing in temporary accommodation.
