BDS currently have an exciting Housing Support Worker opportunity within a fast paced Ministry of Justice commissioned contract toProvide housing management and support in Bishopgate, London.


Working with and supporting a range of tenants who are homeless or at the risk of homelessness.


40 Hours a week (35 hours paid) (5 hours lunch unpaid) Monday to Friday
Occasional requirement to work Saturday with the Monday off work.
Temporary ongoing - 3 months initially.
15.80per hour PAYE
20.64per hour UMB

Duties
You will provide flexible, holistic and short-term support to clients with a wide range of support needs, with the aim of them achieving their own accommodation at the end of their placement.
You will manage a caseload of clients in properties in your allocated patch
You will carry out property inspections and report repairs promptly to ensure we provide quality homes for our clients.

Skills
We are looking for someone with knowledge of support planning and safeguarding, and experience of working with vulnerable adults with complex needs (i.e. substance misuse and mental health).
This role is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of others through support and care.

Requirements
Enhanced adult DBS required

The role offers flexible working in the community, and you can work from home in between property visits.
You manage a caseload of 21 tenants in a community shared house setting.
The role includes lone working, you will regularly meet with your team and manager to discuss and reflect on complex cases.
