We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced 1-1 Support Assistant to join our team and work with a child in Year 5 who has mild learning difficulties.
Responsibilities:
-Provide one-on-one support to a Year 5 student with mild learning difficulties, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
-Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the student's specific needs.
-Collaborate with the class teacher and Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to develop and adapt teaching materials.
-Support the student in accessing the curriculum, ensuring personalized learning objectives are met.
-Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere to enhance the student's social and emotional development.
-Implement strategies to promote independence and self-esteem.
Requirements:
-Previous experience working with students with mild learning difficulties.
-Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting the educational development of all students.
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, parents, and the SENCO.
-Relevant qualifications in Special Education or related field preferred.
-Training and Development:
-The successful candidate will have access to ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge in supporting students with mild learning difficulties.
