About the Role:
We are looking for a proactive Learning Support Assistant to join a thriving secondary school and sixth form in Waltham Forest. You will support students aged 11 to 18, working across core and foundation subjects to help them achieve academic success. This role is perfect for someone with strong subject knowledge and a passion for supporting young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support in core and foundation subjects, ensuring students remain engaged and motivated
  • Assist teachers in delivering inclusive lessons tailored to a range of abilities
  • Support students in building confidence and academic resilience across KS3, KS4, and KS5
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their emotional and social well-being
  • Monitor progress and contribute to intervention planning and delivery

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong general subject knowledge and experience working with students aged 11 to 18
  • A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting diverse learning needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and parents effectively
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people

  • Full-time role, Monday to Friday
  • Paid up to 110 per day, term time only
  • Based in Waltham Forest, London - with excellent public transport links
  • Immediate start, with potential for long-term placement
