About Us:

We are working with a welcoming, friendly and vibrant primary school located in Dagenham that is looking for a Learning Support Assistant. The school is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work in their Additional Resource Provision (ARP). The successful individual will be responsible for supporting ASD pupils. There are five ARP classrooms alongside the mainstream classrooms within the school.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Inclusion Lead in supporting SEN pupils.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement.

 

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a Primary School
  • Knowledge: Understanding of supporting ASD pupils
  • Desirable: Experience working with children in an ARP setting
