As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work within a mainstream school setting, focusing on supporting a specific pupil with social, emotional, or academic challenges. This role is ideal for someone who is adaptable, patient, and committed to helping every child achieve their best.



Key Responsibilities as a Learning Support Assistant:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil, assisting with their academic and emotional needs.
  • Help the child build confidence, manage behaviour, and fully engage with their learning.
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff.
  • Use creative approaches to adapt the curriculum and ensure inclusivity.
  • Track and report the pupil's progress, working to set achievable goals.
