A Primary school based in Hackney are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their team starting ASAP until the end of the academic year, on a full-time basis.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of a student in their Year 6 class that needs 1:1 support. You will also need to closely work with a small group of children within the class to help support towards their SATS exams.Due to the needs of the children, it would be very desirable if you have worked in a similar position before or have experience tutoring children within KS2.
The role as a Learning Support Assistant
- Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
- Closely supporting children towards their SATS exams.
- Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation
- Working 1:1, identify and respond appropriately to challenging individual needs
- A playful and enthusiastic approach to working with children with a wide range of needs and backgrounds
