Position: Learning Support Assistant

Location: Enfield

Horizon Teachers is currently searching for an enthusiastic individual to join an exceptional team, providing support to a child with diverse needs, including autism, learning delays, non-verbal communication, and hearing impairments.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized one-on-one support to the child, implementing tailored learning strategies and engaging activities.
  • Support communication through alternative methods such as PECS, Makaton, or AAC.
  • Establish an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere that addresses the child's sensory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a comprehensive approach to the child's development.
  • Monitor progress, offer regular feedback, and contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
