Position: Learning Support Assistant

Remedy Education is looking for a committed and compassionate individual to become a part of a fantastic team, offering vital support to a child with diverse needs, including autism, learning delays, non-verbal communication, and hearing impairments.

Key Responsibilities:

Offer personalised, one-on-one assistance to the child, applying tailored learning methods and interactive activities.
Support communication through alternative techniques like PECS, Makaton, or AAC.
Create a welcoming and supportive learning environment that accommodates the child's sensory requirements.
Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to foster a well-rounded approach to the child's development.
Monitor progress, provide consistent feedback, and assist in developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.

Remedy Education is a specialist Education Recruitment Consultancy that helps Teachers and Support Staff find long term, permanent and interim employment in Primary, Secondary and Special Schools throughout London, the South East London area. As part of the registration process you will be required to have a DBS Check carried out and all original relevant qualifications will need to be sighted and copied before any work placement. For all teaching roles you will need to hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
