A mainstream primary school in Balham (SW12) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. This role is ideal for someone with previous experience working with special needs children, particularly those with EHCPs, ASD, ADHD, or other additional learning needs.



Learning Support Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with special educational needs.
  • Assist in classroom activities and adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.
  • Implement EHCP targets under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support with social and emotional development, promoting independence.


The Ideal Learning Support Assistant Will Have:

  • Experience working with children with SEN in a school setting.
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting learning.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN (desirable but not essential).
