The Role:
- Position: Learning Support Assistant.
- Salary: 80-100 per day, based on experience.
- Location: Waltham Forest, East London.
- Start Date: Immediate.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work 1:1 with a pupil who has additional learning needs, providing tailored support to help them engage with the curriculum and develop confidence in their abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN needs, helping them access learning effectively.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies.
- Support the pupil's social and emotional development, encouraging confidence and independence.
- Use creative and adaptive teaching methods to keep the pupil engaged and motivated.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or SEN Support Worker.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting pupils with additional needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for helping children succeed in their education.
- Experience with ASD, ADHD, or speech & language difficulties is beneficial but not essential.
