SEN Learning Support Assistant

We have an opportunity for a SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a team of passionate educators.
The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs (ASC, ADHD)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to students
  • Support classroom teachers in managing and adapting lesson plans
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and record students' progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Assist with the personal care needs of students, if required.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a classroom setting, particularly with SEN students.
  • Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and effective support strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other support staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are desirable but not mandatory
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
