About the RoleAs a Triage Duty Worker, you will be the first point of contact for LGBTQ+ survivors seeking support. You will assess referrals, provide immediate advice, and direct people to the most appropriate services. This role is crucial in ensuring survivors receive timely, compassionate, and effective assistance.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial risk assessments and triage referrals.
- Offer immediate emotional and practical support to LGBTQ+ survivors.
- Signpost and refer individuals to appropriate internal and external services.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective case management.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to service development.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in front line support roles, ideally within domestic abuse, sexual violence, or hate crime services.
- Knowledgeable about the specific challenges faced by LGBTQ+ survivors.
- Compassionate, non-judgemental, and skilled in crisis response.
- Confident in handling referrals and working with partner agencies.
- Organised, with excellent communication and IT skills.
