We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our dynamic team. As an LSA, you will play a vital role in supporting our students' educational and personal development. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a positive and engaging learning environment tailored to the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials to meet students' needs.
  • Support classroom activities and help maintain an inclusive, positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Encourage and promote social and emotional development through positive reinforcement and engagement.
  • Assist with personal care needs, where required, ensuring the safety and dignity of students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to monitor and report on student progress.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN education.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting is highly desirable.
  • A patient, compassionate, and empathetic approach to working with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and equality in education.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or equivalent) is advantageous.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
