Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage day-to-day housing operations, including tenancy management, rent collection, property inspections, and addressing tenant concerns.
  2. Provide advice and support to tenants on housing-related matters, ensuring they understand their rights and responsibilities.
  3. Handle tenancy agreements, allocations, and renewals, ensuring compliance with housing regulations and company policies.
  4. Coordinate repairs and maintenance work, liaising with contractors and ensuring jobs are completed in a timely manner.
  5. Address and resolve tenant complaints and issues promptly, maintaining a high standard of customer service.
  6. Conduct regular property inspections to ensure health and safety standards are met.
  7. Monitor rent arrears and work with tenants to develop payment plans or take appropriate action where necessary.
  8. Work closely with other teams and external agencies to support vulnerable tenants and improve housing services.
  9. Prepare reports and maintain accurate records of housing activities.

Skills and Experience Required:

  1. Proven experience in a housing officer or similar role within the housing or property management sector.
  2. Strong knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy law, and best practices in housing management.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with tenants, colleagues, and external partners.
