Psychology Graduate required for a Mental Health Teaching Assistant role in Acton, Ealing

If you are an impressive Psychology Graduate looking to support children with their Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs in West London, then this is the role for you! 

You will be part of a very inclusive team, ensuring that all pupils are able to have access to mainstream class teaching, through your support and teamwork with other staff and external support framework.
  • Impressive Primary School in Acton, Ealing - Graded as 'Outstanding' 
  • First-Class or 2:1 Psychology related degree is required
  • Mental Health Support Assistant – Supporting a Year 1 pupil with ASC and Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs
  • Full-time position, Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 4pm | Mental Health Teaching Assistant
  • £450 - £500 per week, paid on a PAYE basis

As a capable Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a pivotal role in a very important stage of the student's education. Owing to the COVID pandemic there has been a surge of Mental Health issues created and magnified. The school is a very inclusive environment and understands the benefit of having a Mental Health Support Assistant supporting their most vulnerable pupils and allowing them to continue to access the excellent teaching at the school.

This is a full-time Mental Health Teaching Assistant, position available for the duration of the coming academic year. The school has a very strong leadership team and an experienced SENCo/Mental Health Leader, who will work closely with you to ensure your support is tailored and appropriate to the pupil/s you will be working with.

If you have experience as a Mental Health Support Assistant or believe you have the ability to support students with Emotional and Mental Health needs, then this is the perfect job for you to be considering.
