Are you a qualified and experience Children's Residential Support Worker seeking new challenge or step up Team Lead role?

Eden Brown Synergy has an exciting opportunity to join an established group providing children's residential care and supported living services for young people (16+) towards successful transitioning into adulthood and independence.

Purpose of the Role:

  • The role would be ideal for Experienced Children's Support Worker looking to step into a Team leader position, assisting the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the Statement of Purpose and uphold the organisation mission statement and values.
  • To support and manage the staff team to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people.
  • To undertake direct work with children and young people as appropriate.
  • To ensure each shift is planned and resources allocated.
  • To work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people.
  • To offer supervision and support to staff in line with Quality Standards and as directed by the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager

As a Senior Support Worker you would meet the following requirements:

  • Diploma Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year Supervisory experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience working a Children's Residential setting with challenging behaviours
  • Knowledge of the Children Act and other relevant legislation
  • Awareness of Equal Opportunities/ADP issues
  • Knowledge of CHR and QS
  • Ability to manage and motivate teams effectively
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Understanding the needs of looked-after children including managing challenging behaviour
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Full Driving Licence desirable
