Seven Resourcing is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker - Accommodation to join the team in Tower Hamlets. This is a fantastic full-time locum opportunity, offering a competitive pay rate of £13.20 per hour.

As a Support Worker - Accommodation, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with a range of needs, helping them to maintain and develop independent living skills and achieve their personal aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver housing-related support to adults with a range of needs, understanding their strengths and helping them build on these to meet their aspirations in various areas of interest and value.
  • Improve each client’s quality of life and prevent homelessness by promoting and maintaining independent living skills and supporting appropriate move-on.
  • Provide tailored support through safety planning, aspirations assessments, and one-to-one keywork sessions.
  • Assist service users in attending educational, leisure, and health-related activities, accompanying them as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate service user records and all other records relating to the upkeep and maintenance of the service, including electronic records on our organisational system.
  • Carry out Housing Management functions, including the collection and management of rent, reporting of repairs, and managing the beginning and end of tenancies/licences at the schemes.
  • Encourage and promote effective multi-agency working to mitigate risks and meet the needs and aspirations of service users to a high standard, including establishing close contacts with various communities, statutory, and voluntary organisations.
  • Assist with domestic tasks when appropriate.
  • Have knowledge of and follow relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Take part in regular supervisions and annual appraisals, and seek out opportunities for continuous professional development within the service, organisation, and externally.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a similar support role.
  • Strong understanding of housing-related support and independent living skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including statutory and voluntary organisations.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and maintain accurate records. Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.A commitment to continuous professional development.
