Curzon and Fawood are two Maintained Nursery Schools situated in the heart of the vibrant London Borough of Brent. They are part of a unique Partnership between the two Nursery Schools, Rainbows (Additionally Resourced Provision for children with ASD) and the Family Wellbeing Centre. Inclusion is at the heart of all our work at the Partnership

The Family Wellbeing Centre is staffed by a small, focussed team who work collaboratively within the wider organisation and services.

Curzon Site:

  • A Maintained Nursery School
  • NEG2 provision
  • Family Wellbeing Centre

Fawood Site:

  • A Maintained Nursery School
  • An Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP)
  • NEG2 provision
  • Family Wellbeing Centre

We are recruiting for a Family Mentor to work within the Family Wellbeing Centre team.

Working under the direction of the Centre Manager, the successful candidate will:

  • Support families in receiving a range of targeted services, adopting a whole family approach, and where necessary support with completing Early Help Assessment (EHA) to ensure the family receive the right level of help.
  • Work in collaboration with the wider Family Wellbeing Centre Teams and Partners adopting a whole family approach.
  • Provide flexible support and interventions for families in the Family Wellbeing Centres.
  • Support vulnerable families to access core/universal services and support relevant to their needs.
  • Contribute to the overall vision of the Partnership and ensure that all interactions reflect the values of the Partnership

  • Strong written communication skills to convey information to families and professionals, as appropriate
  • Knowledge of effective safeguarding policies and procedures and your role in them
