Starting immediately, this is an exciting opportunity for SEND Teaching Assistants, Health Care Support Workers, Sports Coaches, Youth Workers, Learning Support Assistants, and others with behavioural management experience to join the team at one of our Specialist schools in Waltham Forest.

About the School:
This rapidly growing maintained school caters to pupils aged 3-19 years with Moderate to Severe Learning Disabilities and associated complexities.

Your Role:
You will work under the guidance of SEN-trained staff and implement support programs designed to enable learning for all pupils in an inclusive and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address the personal needs of pupils, supporting their social, health, and welfare development.
  • Supervise and provide safety and assistance to pupils during lunchtime activities.
  • Support pupils with instructions and learning strategies, covering literacy, numeracy, Early Years through KS4, as directed by the teacher.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, encouraging interaction and engagement.
  • Prepare and maintain the classroom environment.
