- Complete and quality assure Viability Assessments (VAs), SGOs, and Connected Carer assessments.
- Provide expert oversight of assessment processes to ensure high-quality decision-making.
- Support the care proceedings process by providing specialist assessments and reports.
- Supervise and mentor less experienced social workers, providing guidance, coaching, and support.
- Work collaboratively with child protection teams and contribute to care planning for children in need of alternative care.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and best practices in fostering and kinship care.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and development opportunities to enhance service delivery.
- Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration.
- Proven experience in completing VAs, SGOs, and Connected Carer assessments.
- Strong ability to quality assure viability assessments.
- Preferable experience in Child Protection (CP) and care proceedings.
- Experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff.
- Knowledge of fostering, kinship care, and permanency planning.
- Excellent report-writing, analytical, and assessment skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multi-agency teams.
