The RoleAs a Housing Officer, you will manage properties leased by Causeway, supporting tenants with their housing needs and contributing to our policy and service development. Key duties include:
- Tenant Support: Interview housing applicants, issue tenancy agreements, and assist tenants with external agencies and rehousing options.
- Property Management: Manage property maintenance and repairs, oversee new lettings, and ensure high standards are maintained.
- Rent Collection: Monitor rent payments and arrears, implementing policies where necessary, and represent Causeway in court if required.
- Community Engagement: Maintain positive relationships with tenants, mediate disputes, and liaise with external agencies.
Who We're Looking For
- At least one year of experience in housing management or a related role.
- Strong commitment to social housing and equality.
- Knowledge of housing maintenance and health & safety procedures.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to maintain professional boundaries.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to various sites across London.
