This role is an opportunity to drive both strategic and operational improvements across the Council's Housing Management division, with a primary focus on Neighbourhood Services, Estate Management, Leaseholders, and effective contract management. In this role, you will:
  • Lead Operational Delivery: Provide operational leadership for Neighbourhood and Estate Management, Leaseholder Services, and contract management, ensuring services are responsive, efficient, and continuously improving.
  • Drive Resident-Centred Services: Champion a resident-first approach, embedding continuous improvement across housing services and strengthening relationships with leaseholders.
  • Oversee Contract and Budget Management: Ensure effective contract management, procurement, and financial stewardship, delivering value for money while meeting service demands.
  • Foster a High-Performance Culture: Promote a cohesive and performance-driven culture, bringing teams together to deliver excellent resident services with clear accountability and measurable objectives.
  • Ensure Compliance and Risk Management: Oversee compliance with social housing regulations, health and safety, welfare reform, and fire safety legislation, ensuring the Council meets all statutory obligations.
  • Collaborate with Key Stakeholders: Build trusted relationships with Council Members, residents, leaseholder groups, and stakeholders, ensuring their voices contribute to service development and improvement.
