- Service Review: Conduct comprehensive reviews of services commissioned under section 75 agreements, with a focus on mental health and speech & language provisions.
- Project Management: Utilise project management methodologies to lead and deliver commissioning projects from inception through completion.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with Local Authority and Integrated Care Board (ICB) stakeholders to assess service requirements and improvements.
- Reporting and Strategy Development: Develop reports and recommendations to improve services, and implement commissioning strategies for mental health, speech and language, and occupational therapy.
- Service Monitoring: Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of commissioned services to ensure they meet the needs of children and young people.
- Advisory Role: Provide expert advice on commissioning best practices, ensuring services are needs-led, evidence-based, and community-focused.
- Experience: Proven background in a similar role within a Local Authority, specifically in children’s services commissioning.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of commissioning processes for mental health, speech and language, and occupational therapy services.
- Project Management: Skilled in project management with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Communication: Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
