Job Role

To work under the supervision of the Strategic Commissioning Lead in the Commissioning Team, Benefits and Homeless Prevention, leading the delivery of all stages of letting contracts with particular emphasis on the tender process for supported housing services.

To provide advice and support on efficient and cost effective purchasing of services on behalf of the Directorate, ensuring high quality outcomes and value for money, through tendering and contracting activities.

Key Responsibilities

Provide contract management expertise in managing directorate contracts, developing and implementing strategies to meet service needs and ensure proper control of cost and process.

Maintain an effective contract management and monitoring system, ensuring that appropriate action is taken to achieve performance targets and control spending.

Ensure that the Council's policy of diversity and equality is embedded in contracts awarded.

Ensure that information concerning contracts let is communicated effectively to the team as appropriate.

Analyse data and produce presentations to demonstrate findings and feedback from engagement and consultation with direction and support
