Deputy Team Manager - Adult Social Care
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy Team Manager to join a multi-disciplinary team within Adult Social Care. This role is pivotal in supporting the Team Manager in coordinating and overseeing the work of a dedicated team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to individuals with learning disabilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing workloads, supervising up to five social workers, and ensuring that assessments and care planning meet national and local standards. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining efficient team processes, overseeing referrals, managing caseloads, and ensuring compliance with safeguarding procedures. This role also involves providing supervision, professional support, and training to team members while maintaining effective partnerships with external agencies.
You will bring strong leadership skills, experience in multi-disciplinary working, and a deep understanding of the legislation and policies related to learning disabilities. The role requires excellent problem-solving abilities, a commitment to service improvement, and the capacity to manage resources effectively, including budgetary oversight. While primarily a management role, the postholder will also carry a small caseload of specialist cases.
