Red Snapper Recruitment are recruiting for a Homelessness Review Officer on behalf of City of London Corporation.

As part of their ongoing commitment to statutory compliance and operational evolution, the City of London wishes to undertake an independent review of its statutory homelessness team.

Overview

The review is expected to draw on extensive analysis of statutory homelessness data (quantitative and qualitative) drawn from a dedicated database (Jigsaw), published H-CLIC data and local recording systems.

The review should take in information gathered through interviews with statutory homelessness staff and relevant internal and external stakeholders. Where possible, comparison should be made with best practice examples from other LA’s. The review should include careful analysis of existing policies, procedures and guidance documents.

The findings of this work should be set out in a final report to be delivered at the end of the project. The report, and any supporting analysis, should include findings and recommendations which helps the City of London to develop and evolve its Statutory Homelessness offer.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • An initial discovery paper outlining proposed approach
  • Evidence of staff and stakeholder consultation
  • Detailed report suitable for presentation to SLT and DLT. The report should include findings and recommendations
  • Presentation of the review findings/recommendations upon request

Person Specification

  • The consultant firm will be suitably experienced and qualified to review an established local authority statutory homelessness department.
  • The consultant will have experience of reviewing statutory homelessness services, of applying methodologies comparable to what is set out in section 3 and drafting and presenting reports appropriate for circulation at Chief Officer level
