- Tenancy and Lease Management: Oversee day-to-day management of tenancies, leases, and licences, ensuring compliance and addressing breaches promptly.
- Supporting Residents: Build strong relationships with residents, supporting vulnerable individuals by linking them to local services and providing high-quality advice.
- Fire Safety and Estate Management: Identify and address fire safety issues and work with relevant teams to reduce risks.
- Audits and Voids Management: Conduct tenancy audits, manage voids effectively, and minimise rent loss.
- Legal and Enforcement Actions: Handle investigations into illegal occupancy, sub-letting, and tenancy breaches. Serve notices, prepare court cases, and represent the council in tribunal and court hearings.
- Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB): Lead on ASB management and deliver a victim-centred approach for domestic violence cases.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain effective relationships with tenants, resident associations, health services, voluntary groups, and other partners.
- Customer Service: Respond to complaints, emergencies, and enquiries, ensuring customer satisfaction and continuous service improvement.
- Leadership: Deputise for the housing manager and supervise housing support officers when required.
