About the Role:As the Housing Options Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in leading a team of Complex Casework Officers. You'll provide guidance, support, and direction to ensure high-quality service delivery. Your expertise will help develop innovative solutions for single individuals with complex support needs, fostering strong partnerships within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Coordination: Supervise and motivate a team of six Complex Casework Officers, ensuring they meet casework standards and service targets.
  • Partnership Development: Collaborate with local agencies to enhance service delivery and develop effective pathways for clients at risk of homelessness.
  • Legislation Knowledge: Stay updated on relevant housing legislation, ensuring compliance and best practises are followed.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Manage customer inquiries with care, ensuring prompt and efficient service delivery.
  • Staff Development: Assist in staff recruitment, training, and performance management, fostering a positive and productive team environment.

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Understanding of housing legislation and relevant codes of guidance
  • Proven experience in casework and team management
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities
  • Proficiency in IT and database management
