Overview:Panoramic Associates is pleased to partner with a London local authority in their search for an experienced Interim Head of Programmes, Strategy and Improvement for the Adult Social Care department. This pivotal role will focus on driving service improvements, developing strategic partnerships, and embedding change across the department to align with the council's ambitious vision for adult social care.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Assurance, Strategy, and Improvement, the successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders and elected members to deliver key improvement projects. You will play a crucial role in preparing the department for the new CQC Local Authority inspection framework and driving continuous improvement across adult social care services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and delivery of the Adult Social Care Improvement Programme, ensuring alignment with the council's broader vision and priorities.
  • Oversee the planning and preparation for CQC inspections, ensuring the department is inspection ready.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality of care, enhance resident engagement, and support collaboration between health and social care services.
  • Manage a team of 3-4, providing strong leadership and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Establish a robust programme management function within the directorate, ensuring effective governance, risk management, and delivery of improvement projects.
  • Work closely with corporate and political leadership to influence strategic decision-making and embed improvements across the directorate.
  • Oversee the directorate's communications and co-production approach, ensuring alignment with the council's broader strategy and goals.
  • Manage budgets related to programmes and projects of up to £10 million, ensuring value for money and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
