Overview

ALondon based Mechanical and Electrical contractor specialising in Commercial & residential new build mixed use schemes.

They are a growing contractor who have excellent opportunities for development within the business and due to growth this role has become available. The role can be based in their Central London offices and/or remote working.

The role is to support the project delivery team ensuring that designs are both accurate and realistic ensuring the accurate scope of the project.

The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge and experience of AutoCAD and both 2D and 3D Revit. You will have a string understanding of MEP systems and how to route and co-ordinate services.

Job Specification

  • Review Design layouts, block diagrams, schematics, assembly and part drawings and associated cable schedules and create mark ups as required.
  • Coordinate between design team and site personnel
  • Be pro-active in streamlining and automating drawing and engineering processes and propose improvement ideas.
  • Issue drawings and information for tendering and construction purposes.
  • Create technical submittals for all MEP equipment
  • Respond to RFIs for all MEP design within residential and commercial buildings and provide mark up responses where required
  • Deal with site queries.
  • Assist in the compilation of O&M manuals
  • Liaise with architects, engineers (all consultants) and sub-contractors for information.
  • Attend and minute Design Team Meetings and workshops
Person Specification

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience within an MEP position
  • 3 of which working on residential schemes
  • Candidates must be confident communicators
  • Relevant knowledge of AutoCAD and associated presentation packages with experience in 2D and 3D modelling
