Neighbourhood Service Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Neighbourhood Services Coordinator to deliver exceptional services to residents living in council-owned or managed properties. This role is crucial in embedding a resident-first approach and acting as the single point of contact for all tenancy-related matters, anti-social behaviour concerns, and issues related to communal areas on estates.

As a Neighbourhood Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring a joined-up service for residents, working closely with internal teams and external agencies to resolve issues effectively. This includes advocating for tenants and leaseholders when service standards fall short, particularly in areas such as repairs and maintenance. Building strong relationships with key teams, including caretaking, income management, repairs, and social services, will be vital to ensuring a holistic and resident-focused approach to resolving housing-related matters.

A key part of this role will be identifying and supporting tenants struggling to maintain their homes or those facing safeguarding concerns such as abuse or neglect. You will also take the lead in developing estate action plans to improve the environment, reduce anti-social behaviour, and tackle environmental crime, ensuring collaboration with relevant agencies such as the Police, Community Safety teams, and Environmental Services.

Responding promptly and effectively to reports of anti-social behaviour is a fundamental aspect of this role, ensuring that policies and procedures are followed and that residents receive regular updates on their cases. You will also be expected to attend estate inspections alongside caretaking teams, ensuring that any issues identified are addressed swiftly. Additionally, the role involves carrying out property viewings and tenancy sign-ups, ensuring a smooth process for new residents.

Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be required to respond to Member and MP enquiries, as well as other written correspondence, within specified timescales, ensuring high-quality and professional responses. This role also requires flexibility to undertake additional duties as needed to support the wider team and meet the needs of residents.

If you are passionate about delivering high-quality housing services, have experience in tenancy and estate management, and thrive in a role that requires problem-solving, collaboration, and resident engagement, we would love to hear from you.
