Cobalt has the pleasure of working with a leading, international, private real estate development firm based in London. With a significant regeneration development in London, worth over £1.3 Billion, this business is entering into phase two of the scheme and therefore looking to expand their close-knit team with the hire of a Senior Technical Manager.

The successful applicant will need to be a quick thinker and able to hit the ground running. They will be responsible for managing projects from RIBA stage 1 through to construction, reviewing design team submissions, planning applications and manage the process throughout pre-construction, tender and procurement and be the key driver to standardising internal design and costing across the portfolio.

This role is critical in ensuring the successful translation of design concepts through the various detailed design work stages into cost effective technically feasible and implementable design solutions, coordinating with our Construction, Design and Commercial teams. The Senior Technical Manager must ensure that all designs align with technical requirements, meet regulatory standards, and are executed within budget and timelines.

Our client requires someone with proven experience in the residential land and mixed-use sectors and solid understanding of building regulations in a similar role either within a development business or practice.

Remuneration:

£65,000 - £80,000 + Benefits

Requirements:

RIBA qualified or industry equivalent

Experience working for an Architectural Practice or Developer

Detailed knowledge of various forms of UK building contracts

Proven experience of producing and reviewing high quality and technically proficient architectural drawings

Strong project management skills, including experience managing complex projects from concept to completion and handover.

Ability to work independently as well as within a team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Architect to progress their career on the client side and develop into a Design Manager/Technical Manager role, whilst working on a prestigious London Development in its delivery stage.
