Location: Tower Hamlets

Hours Per Week: 35 Hours

Rate of Pay: £26-£27 P/H (Umbrella)

Tower Hamlets are currently looking for a Tenancy Sustainment Officer / Homelessness Assessment Officer to join their Housing team.

Main Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive support and advocacy for homeless households to sustain tenancies, including needs assessments, support plans, and resettlement assistance.
  • Collaborate with multiple services (e.g., Health, Social Care, Probation) to maintain local connections, address tenancy risks, and explore training, employment, and life skills opportunities.
  • Offer advice on benefits, debt management, and budgeting, and refer vulnerable households to appropriate agencies for additional support.
  • Contribute to council strategies and performance goals, maintain effective communication with customers and partners, and ensure accurate documentation of all interactions.
