Job Scope:

Our client’s team is looking for an experienced Activities and Wellbeing Facilitator who will deliver day services to their members by planning, developing, and implementing a person-centred programme of stimulating activities that meet the social, physical, emotional, and cultural needs of residents.

You, as an Activities and Wellbeing Facilitator, will work with residents to develop and deliver a range of daily activities that reflect individual needs, interests, choices, and preferences, cultivating a person-centred and inclusive environment that is dementia-friendly and supports diverse needs. In collaboration with the Volunteer Manager, the Activities and Wellbeing Facilitator will match residents with volunteers to support engaging activities and organize recreational outings and events for social and cultural engagement. You will coordinate events, support visiting artists and entertainers, and work with the Living Well Manager to ensure events align with budgetary requirements.

Do you have?

  • Relevant experience of supporting wellbeing in a care setting, community or arts and health setting
  • Experience of leading and delivering arts and recreational activities within a similar environment
  • Experience of working with older people, people living with dementia and people with varying abilities and needs
  • Experience of managing volunteers or staff to assist with activities
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the challenge and the sensitivity needed to support vulnerable people
  • Understanding of the differing needs of residents, including Physical Disability, Living with Dementia, Mental Health, and end-of-life
