We are looking for a committed and creative Social Worker to join our Community Advice and Support Team, a shared service between two forward-thinking London councils. The team is working in innovative new ways to maximise a person's strengths and exploring preventative support to reduce their reliance on statutory services.

You will be responsible for working in a truly person-centred way offering residents the option to engage with the service in a way that suits them, including on the phone, video or face to face at local talking points.

Key Functions

  • Hold meaningful conversations with residents, identifying their strengths, networks, and available resources.
  • Connect people to community services, supporting them with self-management strategies to maintain independence.
  • Support complex cases, organizing urgent care and completing safeguarding screenings when necessary.
  • Operate from local "talking points" across the borough, offering in-person support and building community connections.

They are offering hybrid working and the expectation is that you will be going out to assess service users. The hourly rate is negotiable after the interview.
