AMHP (Approved Mental Health Practitioner)

London Borough of Lambeth are looking to expand their current team with a dedicated AMHP (Approved Mental Health Practitioner) looking for an opportunity to join a well-structured and organised team. As well as joining a supportive team our client also offers a competitive salary, opportunities for training to enhance your skills and potential progression within your team. This AMHP (Approved Mental Health Practitioner) role will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance. Rate dependent on experience.

AMHP (Approved Mental Health Practitioner) responsibilities include:

  • Working with Vulnerable Adults with Mental Health
  • Care management
  • Report writing and assessment.
  • Carrying a caseload of service users
  • Managing complex cases
  • Liaising with other professional bodies whilst working within the Mental Health Act
  • Safeguarding Adults
  • Self-directed support / personal budgets

Experience preferred / Minimum Requirements:

  • Post qualifying experience of working within a AMHP (Approved Mental Health Practitioner) Team within the UK Social Care industry.
  • HCPC Registration
  • 1 year post qualifying experience within UK
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
